Hello, my name is IWAKONBU, and I’m an artist and worldbuilder based in Japan. I create AI-assisted concept art and visual works inspired by my original fantasy world, Etheria — an imagined realm where landscapes, cultures, people, histories, memories, and mysteries coexist as part of one living world. My goal is not only to create beautiful images, but to express the atmosphere of a world that feels alive. I want each piece to feel as if there is something beyond the frame: a city shaped by time, a quiet village with its own customs, a forgotten ruin, a distant coastline, or a landscape where an untold story may be waiting. I originally painted backgrounds by hand, and that experience still influences the way I approach composition, lighting, texture, atmosphere, and visual storytelling. Today, I use AI as a creative tool, combining direction, worldbuilding, iteration, and refinement to create images that feel rich, detailed, and emotionally resonant. My work explores a wide range of visual expression, from intricate fantasy landscapes and architectural scenes to quiet daily-life moments, atmospheric illustrations, and abstract images that evoke feeling rather than simply describe a place. I’m still continuing to refine my process, but I hope to keep expanding this world little by little through images, stories, and imagination.
